Round: Chiang Mai - Golden Triangle
Day1: Chiang Mai – Golden triangle (L)
Today, you’ll discover another ancient city of Thailand. Pick you up at the hotel in Chiang Mai and then take 3 hours to drive to Chiang Rai – the main city of the Golden Triangle.
Enjoy a delicious lunch when arrival Chiang Rai and then visit PDA Hilltribe Museum and Education Centre. You’ll also stop at Wat Rong Khun, Chiang Rai’s famed “White Temple” before continuing to Chiang Sean, a former city of the Lanna Kingdom that date back to 1328.
Stay overnight in Golden triangle.
Day2: Golden triangle (B, L)
Have breakfast at the hotel and then visit the ancient Chiang Saen and to Mae Sai – a bustling trading town on the Thailand – Myanmar border. Continue to discover the town in a rickshaw, riding down narrow lanes and visit its impressive, Shan-style temple. Stop at the local market which is popular for its products from Burma, Laos and Southern China.
After lunch, take a long tail boat cruise on the Mekong River to contemplate the splendour of the region with a view of where Mekong joins the Rual River to form the “triangle” with Laos and Burma.
Day3: Golden triangle departure (B)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport to take your flight back home. Return home with wonderful memories of your tour.
